Applying for a mortgage might seem complicated, but with a dedicated loan officer by your side, it’s easy. First, you fill out our online application at Amerifund.com/apply. We’ll send you a list of documents and review them within 24 to 48 hours. Disclosures must be sent out within three days of application. An initial underwriting decision usually comes within 1 to 3 days and if necessary, we’ll order a home appraisal.

The closing disclosure is typically issued upon approval, and there’s a three day minimum waiting period before closing documents can be signed in front of a notary. Then the lender reviews the final conditions and gives you the clear to close. Your closing documents will be issued in about 1 to 3 days, and if refinancing, there may be an additional three business day waiting period depending on the type of home it is.
