The newest member of the Shields Team, Rob brings in a ton of experience in the mortgage industry on both the Purchase and Refinance side.  Coming up is his 6^th year in the industry, Rob has helped literally thousands of families with their financial needs this last half decade.  Having worked for one of the nation’s leading mortgage providers, Rob was the highest tenured banker in his field (Presidents Club), before taking on a leadership role as a Director of Mortgage Banking, teaching the newest bankers in the industry the ins and out of the business, with an emphasis on client service.

Oddly enough, Rob did not grow up in a Finance atmosphere.  Having been born in New York, his father was a New York City Firefighter, and coincidentally Rob’s hero.  With that in mind, Rob actually had a desire for civil service.  After graduating Washington State University with a degree in Criminal Justice, he spent time getting certified as an EMT, as well as having spent 2 years as a correctional officer with the state of Arizona.

Through mutual friends, and help from his now wife Katie, Rob fell into the mortgage industry and found a passion for sales, but more importantly, a way to help American families.  Maybe not as heroically as his father, but his own way to make a positive impact on as many people as he could.

Rob is recently married to his beautiful wife Katie.  They together live in Phoenix with their son (golden retriever) Bronx, whom was named after Rob’s favorite team, the New York Yankees.
